We found this very cute pattern for Tshirt dresses

 

The basic idea is that the top of the dress is a Tshirt (find a color which coordinates with the fabric you choose for the bottom) and the bottom part of the dress is fabric which is gathered at the top and sewn on.  This is a very simple project that would make great use of Disney fabric!

The thing that makes this so easy, that in sewing a dress, the collar, sleeves and "upper part" is the hardest part and using a Tshirt makes it easy!

 

You could re-use Tshirts that are getting too short, or shirts that have a stain on the lower belly part.  New Tshirts are very inexpensive so you can make several of these dresses for little money.  Also, my daughter doesn't wear most of her dresses because they are too itchy.  A tshirt is the perfect solution!
